Ethiopia: ONLF Army takes over Qalafe City

Reports from our Ogaden Online reporter in the Godey province confirm the capture of Qalafe city by Ogaden National Liberation Army, ONLA, around 9:30 AM on Monday May 14th.
Reports add that the Ethiopian military personnel and its associated militias in and around the city of Qalafe did not mount any resistance having seen and received in advance a reconnaissance report indicating the strength of the ONLA. Eyewitnesses confirm that the Ethiopian military abandoned its garrisons immediately after the first ONLA fighters enteredthe city.
Eyewitnesses indicate that the victorious ONLA convened a gathering for all the city dwellers in order to explain the long-term objectives of ONLF and the successes of the struggle against the colonial Ethiopian forces in Ogaden. Qalafe residents were observed congratulating each other and ONLA for having defeated the Ethiopian military.
In a related news, it is reported that a high ranking military officer and a strategic military advisor to the head of the Ethiopian autocracy has acknowledged the futility of the current plans to wage an expansive military campaign against the entrenched ONLA throughout Ogaden.
This high-ranking military officer used the Ethiopian military defeat at Cobole as an example as to why it will be next to impossible to overcome the strength, high morale, and the ever-increasing number of ONLA throughout Ogaden. He added that every military defeat at the hands of ONLA increases the number of Ethiopians defecting to ONLF or asking for a safe passage to a third country.
Other reports from many parts of Ogaden indicate the continuation and the increase of missions to kill, maim, rape, and loot public property carried out by the Ethiopian military and its associated militias in many parts of Ogaden.
