You know, said Minase still looking at Lenco Lata's article. I use to think Lenco Lata was a smart man but I found him to be dump!. He smiled. But why do you say that?.......... asked Wedi Gebru and continued......... Lenco Lata is not a dump guy but actually he is a very smart man. First of all, he is the only Oromo who understood how we the Abyssinians came to power in Ethiopia. He wanted to copy our method and come to power himself. Lenco's strategy was to convince the West by telling them that he and the Oromo people want western democracy and then put pressure upon us, and then, apply OLF's original program once he suicided the power.
But other people like Galasaa and Abiyu including the newer generation of Oromia however did not understnd Lenco and as a result they hate him. You know that is what opened up an opportunity for us. First, our beloved prime minister clearly understood the direction of world's politics and changed TPLF's Marxist Leninist agenda during the early 1980s when he was in training in Washington DC where he and Kigame of Rwanda were trained by a CIA officers. By the way, it is during that time when our leader Meles decided to take business management classes because he understood taking business management classes was very important in the world dominated by capitalism and completed the class via what they call correspondence.What is correspondence! We controlled not only Ethiopia's natural resources but the money that was there when we came to power. Literarly, there were millions of dollars sitting in the bank, there were gold and diamond in the banks all over the country. The Ortodox church alone had a huge deposit of many and gold. Who do you think has access to it? it was us. So, the Faranji who knew all about these joined us and tricked the OLF with great disarming plan. Actually, it is right there where Lenco was fulled so badly! Haa. Haa. Both laughed.Sorry I did not mean to lecture you about the past. Any way let's talk about now so that we can plan the future.As I said earlier, the loophole created inside the OLF in the past is growing bigger and bigger. We have suicided in Somalia by planting our own puppet government, Amhara's nationalist movement have helped us to convince many Oromo intellectuals to join us, our housing program have attracted tens of thousands diaspora Oromos to come home and build houses by dislocating their own brothers from Bole or Gullalle etc but who the hell cares about it. We have also allowed thousands of Eritreans to come back to Ethiopia and re-settle and that have weakened Isayas Afawarki's future to govern.But how about the OLF in Eritrea? Said Minase with anger!. Don't you hear what General Kamal and Gen. Hailu Gonfa are saying from Asmara? Hey! Come down brother said Wedi Gabru and picked up a phone and said.. Please bring us breakfast! To answer you question about the OLF in Eritrea, now the Eritrean government is so weak because we have demonized it politically and so no western country around the world likes it. Besides, Thousands of Eritreans pay 50,000 Naqfa to the boarder guards just to get out of Eritrea . At least 1,000 Eritreans flee from the country every month to Yemen, Djibuti, Kenya and we have over 100,000 Eritreans, Kunamas and Afars settled up in Tigri desert as refugees today. No one knows how many of them make to the Sudan. Isayas is the enemy to the west, with Sudan, Yemen and ourselves. You know how much one single bread costs in Eritrea today? you will not believe me if I tell you one single bread costs one birr and half over there and Eritrea is dead. So if we want, we can easily capture Asmara over night but that is up to our leader said Wedi Gabbru.A beautiful young knoked on the door and came in carrying two covered up plates and left to get Wisky glassed from another lady who stayed at the door. Wedi Gabru did not say thanks to the girl but he quitly took off the material she used to cover the food with and started eating after he handed the other plate to Minase.You know, all Eritreans belive that life is better for them if they re joined Ethiopia said Wedi Gabru. I hate people talking with full mouth said Minase to himself being disgusted when he noticed the food flikering out of Wedi Gabru's mouth when he talked. The same thing is true for the Oromos. Oromos are mingled with us. I see no pure Oromo blood in reality. So, regardless of what Kamal and Hailu are saying, no one could ever make any impact on us and so relax! More food came out of his mouth but he did not seem cared. Oh! Disgusting! Said Minase again yet, only to himself.Just between you and me, Wedi Gabru almost whispered" some times weakness is a good thing" To tell you the truth, we are weak because we are small. Because we are too small, we bent backwards and accepted everything what the westerns told us to do and we did. When they demanded that Ethiopia's door to remain wide open to their religious expansion, we opened our door to Pentecostal, Johova and even to the Mormons who are linked to the CIA but guess what! It worked positively for us. If we showed African nationalism that Mengistu and Isyas reflected, oh! Trust me we were in jail by now or even may be killed by the OLF because the western would have supported Lenco led OLF to power because Lenco and his wife come from Protestant family.Look at what is happening to Isyas today. The guy is crazy African nationalist. Because of that, he kicked out all western religious entities out of Eritrea. There are tens of thousand Jhova witnesses and Pentecostal Eritreans who run out of Eritrea as a result Isayas is hated by the west yet, the west still gets it's intelligence on Eritrean through us. The fact that Eritreans manifested stronger nationalist sentiment only back fired because the west can go after the Isayas government for the lack of Religious freedom in Eritrea and for arming and financing anti-Ethiopian government groups and that is happening today!.When opportunities such as this one is created, we take an advantage and convince the west that Ogadenian liberation front and any Oromo movement from the south and or east are linked to Al-Qaeda operatives and attacked the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia and us, the democratically elected government of Ethiopia and the outcome is so great brother!. Just great!
