Oromoo>>>Boranaa!

Boranaa!

The roots of ours,

so beautiful to our eyes,

a link to our past,

a home of our ancestors,

where remain their souls.

you and we are one!

Thus, we share your pain!

Because...........

you are the source of great singers who have given sound to our feelings

The Belly of Oromummaa with its multiple nature colors

the mother of great engineers who have built bridges for our dreams

The root of Makkoo Billii chef of the chives of laws.

Do you remeber?.....

the time you sent your kids so more of you to build,

>From Bobbaasaa cost to Wallo's end?

To the West, beyond Walg'aa ?

To the east across Dirree Dhow'aa?

Making your center Dhakaa araraa?

where the Habash harvested so much of their injeraa.?

Believe me ayyoo Boranaa....!

You are a great mother who produced great teachers

great writers who have given words to our thoughts

productive farmers who have sown the land for our meals

smart doctors who have healed our wounds

Because of you, Humanity dances!

You see, ayyo Boranaa! hadhaa Oromo

Deessuu Walloo, akkoo Baabboo

Akaakileen kee warrii Qobboo

karaa Lixaa warrii Hamboo

Ittii fufees ijoolleen Harjoo

Karaa kibbaa, warrii xichoo

Karaa jidduu warrii bachoo

Ballee kessatti warri Mandoyyee

karaa bahaa warrii ilkarree

Ilmaallan kee warrii Anyiyyaa

walloon ceyaanii warrii Rayyaa

Gara_multa cinaa... warrii Habroo

Sooddoon darbanii ijoolleen Nonnoo

Warrii Ituu fii warrii Hoborraa

akaakileen kee wal Horee jiraa!!!

kanaafuu, hundii saanii walii firaa!!

Iluun kaasee........

Walga'aa fii Jimmaan deebisee

Baleef Arsiidhaan qaarsisee

Maqaa tookkoo waliibasee!

Dabalatee.. Salaalee_Metaa fii Karrayyuu

Ilmaan kee hundii tokkoo hammayyu.

Your states, the six stars

which includes your mountains and rivers,

Are......

Walloo Arsii and Tulama

plus Maccaa, Boranaa and Bartummaa

Therefore, I see no Jimmaa or Walg'aa

Harar and balee, Iluu abbaa boraa or even Shoa.!

The dust that rises from your surface

has so much staff that it tells

it embraces my face

your wind that blows in my ears

Tells me where I belong

Where I am from and where I am going!

So, smile and try to forget your sorrow

because you have a bright tomorrow

Yes! I can feel your pain

But believe the sun will shine

I promise you will see again

As in Waqayyo your children worshiping

to destroy famine, they will be together marching

the lost freedom? you will regain!

..Then your birds will sing in your paradise

Soon after we grabbed freedom in our hands

with the help of our proud fighters

with the blood of those who have fallen

As their lives is not in vain

Freedom shall prevail!!
